- Dillman, Jacob Andrew. Genealogy and History of the Dillman Family. 1896. A foundational manuscript compiled by Jacob Andrew Dillman (1825–1907) in Newburgh, Indiana, including biographical sketches of the children of Andrew and Barbara Roush Dillman and D.A.R. application materials. Transcribed as “The Dillman Transcription” by Steven J. Wilson from microfilm at the LDS Family History Center (microfilm roll F3588). Cited widely in subsequent Dillman research. - Steelman, Priscilla K. (comp.) Dillman Family Genealogy. Higginson Book Company. A compiled family genealogy published by Higginson Book Co., one of the largest publishers of reprint genealogies. Available through Higginson Book Company and major genealogical libraries.

Dihlmann / Dillmann German Family Registry

Pforzheim, Germany, c. 1986. 350 pp. A comprehensive German-language family registry compiled by Erich Dihlmann of Pforzheim over many decades. Covers the Dihlmann/Dillmann family from the 16th century, including heraldic research and the coat of arms registered in 1953 (No. 8835/53, Volume 16 of Arms of Leading Families of the Federal Republic of Germany). Now out of print. Held for viewing at: the Württemberg Union for Family and Coat of Arms Studies (Stuttgart); the German National Library (Frankfurt); the Stuttgart State Library; the Baden State Library (Karlsruhe); and the Dillman Gymnasium (Stuttgart). Tilghman / Tillman Family Histories
The Tilghman / Tillman family is a distinct surname from the Dillman family but is listed in some DFA records (see Family Group Sheets 10, 17, and 98) where Tilghman/Tillman families intersect with Dillman research. These works may be useful to researchers with Tilghman / Tillman lines.
