Dillman Family Association Genealogical Conference 2024
The Dillman Family Association recently held theeir 2024 Dillman Family Association Genealogical Conference! On the second morning we had presentations of Family Story Boards by several members, which were followed by a walk-through of Ancestry.com’s online records search tool. On the first day we had a presentation by Daniel Ware of the Kentucky Historical Society including the Genealogy and Library resources. We also had a presentation by Mattheus Mitchell about the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints’ FamilySearch website and genealogy tools, and a walk-through of the MyHeritage website and Family Tree Builder software by Daniel Dillman.

On the first night we enjoyed a convivial dinner at a local restaurant with a lot of fun conversation! After dinner we returned to the hotel for the Open House activity and Dillman Family Association Library viewing time. There were several new donations made to the DFA Library this year, as there are in most years. There will be more DFA Library time available today and this afternoon and evening. Also on the agenda for today, we will be deciding on the site for the next DFA genealogical conference in 2026, and the election of new officers for the next two years.
The Dillman Family Association book is here!

Our new book, Discovering Dillman Families Throughout The World has been released, and is available for purchase! for more information, please click here or in the menu. The Dillman Family Association is also working to place copies of this book in repositories where Dillmans have had some history. We have already sent copies to the Library of Congress, the Allen County Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana, DAR, FamilySearch/LDS and other obvious choices, but there may be other locations that would benefit from having a copy. If you have any suggestions, we would like to know.
